Project Description
Dona nobis pacem was written in memory of my brother Graham, who was taken, too early in life, by cancer.
The soprano melody line hangs suspended at times over long arching phrases, while the underlying parts provide the flow and sense of purpose, with the harmonic movement in thirds. There is a great sense of tension and release throughout, with some occasional chromatic and enharmonic changes, especially in the final cadence section.
