Project Description
Bus Ride is a short unison work, the text for which is a contemporary reflection on today’s society, where it appears we are often caught up in our own small world, sealed in a cocoon playing on electronic devices, headphones on listening to whatever, and conversing or texting on our mobile phones.
This piece is set in 5/8 with repetitive piano figures that suggest the constant motion of a bus, with the occasional stop for passengers to alight or board.
Bus ride has been selected for inclusion in the Australian Music Examinations Board repertoire book for Grade 3 Vocal.
