Project Description

With a Little Help from My Friends is the second track on the 1967 Beatles’ album “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.” The track features lead vocals, drums and tambourine by Ringo Starr, with the other Beatles providing backing vocals, lead and rhythm guitar, piano bass and cowbell. The song was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney specifically as Starr’s track for the album. Story has it that Starr’s vocals were recorded with his bandmates standing around him, true to the spirit of the song. With a Little Help from My Friends was later successfully recorded by Joe Cocker (1968) and Wet, Wet, Wet (1998) and was adopted as the theme song for the iconic 1988 television show “The Wonder Years”.

This arrangement is available for SSA, SAB and SATB choirs with piano accompaniment.
